Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Remove bolts (2) securing pressure plate (3)

 Loosen the bolts (2) in stages in a crosswise pattern. The pressure plate (3) can otherwise tilt or warp.

Remove pressure plate (3) and clutch plate (4)



Checking

 If there is wear or leakage:

Replace central clutch operator (5)

Check radial shaft sealing ring (1a) and cap (1b) for leaks

 In the event of leaks: 

Install a new radial shaft sealing ring (1a) and cap (1b)

Clean

Clean friction surface (6a) of flywheel (6), degrease and rub down with coarse emery paper

Cleaner from package

Clean friction surface (3a) of pressure plate (3), degrease and rub down with coarse emery paper

Cleaner from package

Install

Mount pressure plate (3) with clutch plate (4) on flywheel (6) and tighten bolts (2)

 Its correct direction of installation is specified on the clutch plate (4). Incorrect installation leads to damage to the clutch and transmission (1).

 Tighten the bolts (2) in stages in a crosswise pattern. The pressure plate (3) can otherwise tilt or warp.

 Center the clutch plate (4) using the  centering drift (01).
