Removing

 Danger!

Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of vehicle lift and position four support plates at vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Only carry out testing if the clutch plate is burnt

Unscrew cap on expansion reservoir (1) for brake fluid

Mount test connection (02) on expansion reservoir (1)

Mount connector hose of  vacuum tester (01) on test connection (02)



Checking

Produce vacuum; to do this, operate pump lever (01a) 3 to 5 times

Check master cylinder

 If it is not possible to build up a vacuum, the master cylinder is OK.

 If it is possible to build up a vacuum, the pedal bracket (3), master cylinder, overcenter spring (6), bolt (5), circlip (7), washers (8) and bushings (9) must be replaced:



Pull connector hose off  vacuum tester (01) at test connection (02)

Detach test connection (02) from expansion reservoir (1)

Screw cap onto expansion reservoir (1)
