Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between columns of lifting platform and position four support plates at lifting platform support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

 Install retaining lock (01) for crankshaft / starter ring gear

Mark the front side of the washer (2)

Vehicles with automatic transmission

 Installation: The washer (2) must be installed back into the same position as bulging caused by the bolts can generate an incorrect torque.

Remove bolts (1a) on two-mass flywheel (1) or clutch plate

 Installation: If an angle tightener is not available, the bolts can be tightened further by the specified angle in a single operation using a socket wrench and breaker bar.

In order to avoid any angle errors it is not permitted to use a flexi-rod torque wrench for tightening to angle degrees as this falsifies the tightening torque.

Remove washer (2)

 Installation: The straight pin (1b) determines the installation position of the two-mass flywheel (1).

Remove drive plate

 Installation: The straight pin (1b) determines the installation position of the drive plate.



Checking

10.1

Check threaded unions in drive plate

Automatic transmission 722.906

 Check for damage and interference sit and replace drive plate where necessary.

Install in the reverse order

First initialization, then perform sensor rotor adaptation using STAR DIAGNOSIS

 Only when replacing.
