Remove/install

Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m).

Remove upper engine cover (2).

Remove engine air intake duct (3).

Remove cold air intake (4).

Drill out rivets of supporting plates (9).

 Remove drilling chips.

Remove supporting plates (9).

Remove screws (5) and remove crossmember (6).

 Bolt, lock striker to cross member/front-module carrier

Release and disconnect electrical connector from fan unit (1).

Drain off coolant.

Unclip bracket (7) from fan unit (1) and radiator and place to one side.

Unclip coolant line (8) from fan unit (1).

Remove upper cold air guide from fan unit (1).

Remove bleed line from cooler and seal openings with suitable stop plugs.

Remove coolant hose (10) from cooler and seal openings with protective covers.

Remove fan unit (1).

Install in the reverse order.
