 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

1

Remove cap (1) of coolant expansion reservoir (2).

 First, twist open cap (1) of coolant expansion reservoir (2) counterclockwise to the safety catch and release overpressure, then unscrew cap (1).

 Installation: Screw cap back on (1) only after testing the coolant level.

Suction off coolant from coolant expansion reservoir (2).

 For this purpose, use a suitable container.

 Installation: Reuse extracted coolant.

Remove bleed line (3) at coolant expansion reservoir (2).

Release retaining tabs (4) and remove coolant expansion reservoir (2) upward.

 Installation: Ensure coolant expansion reservoir (2) is correctly seated in bearing bushings.

Remove coolant hose (5) at coolant expansion reservoir (2).

 Hose clamp pliers

Remove coolant expansion reservoir (2).

 To do this, disconnect electrical connector (6) form the coolant level switch.

Install in the reverse order.



Check

8

Check coolant level.

If the coolant level is not correct,



Correct coolant level.

Check leak tightness of the coolant expansion reservoir (2).
