Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.

Remove/install

Switch off ignition

Open maintenance flap

Tilt cab

 Installation: Only tilt back cab after the leak test.

Drain coolant at engine radiator

Remove soundproofing

Expose electrical line (8) and disconnect electrical connection on EGR (AGR) differential pressure sensor (B621)

Remove bracket (3) on exhaust gas recirculation cooler (1)

 Bolt, coolant line bracket to exhaust gas recirculation cooler

Remove bolts (6)

 Screw/bolt, exhaust gas recirculation line to cylinder head bracket

Loosen screw/bolt (7)

 Screw/bolt, exhaust gas recirculation line to cylinder head bracket

Push away exhaust gas recirculation line (5) from bracket (10)

 Do not damage hose pieces at EGR line (5).

Remove coolant connection (12) at oil/coolant module (9)

Only for the new as-built configuration (B).

 Installation: Replace seal on coolant connection (12).

 Bolt, coolant connection to coolant service unit

Pull coolant feed pipe (2) out of the exhaust gas recirculation cooler (1) and the oil/coolant module (9)

 Installation: Replace connection piece (4 and 11).

Clean sealing surfaces

Install in the reverse order

Start engine and perform an engine test run

 Allow engine to run at a higher rotational speed.

Turn off engine and check area around the coolant feed pipe (2) for leaktightness

 Visual inspection.
