Danger !

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Empty low-temperature circuit

Detach coolant hoses (1) at wheel arch cooler (2)

AR09.41-P-1311-01AL

Detach electrical wiring harness (3) at air duct segment (4) and place to one side

Installation: Replace cable tie.

Unscrew nuts (5) and remove wheel arch cooler (2) together with air duct segment (4) from bracket (6)

Unclip wheel arch cooler (2) from air duct segment (4)

If necessary.

Check air duct segment (4) for damage and replace if necessary.

Detach coolant hoses (1, 9) from bracket (6)

Detach bracket (6) from longitudinal member (7) and connecting carrier (8)

If necessary.

Check

Check wheel arch cooler (2) for damage

When reusing the wheel arch cooler (2).

Replace wheel arch cooler (2) if necessary.

Install in the reverse order

Check low-temperature circuit cooling system for leaktightness

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
