 Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Keep body parts and limbs well clear of moving parts.

Align vehicle between the columns of the lifting platform and position the four support plates at the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle with lifting platform

Open coolant cap (1) at coolant expansion reservoir (2)

 Turn the coolant cap (1) counterclockwise one half-turn, release the pressure, then unscrew the coolant cap (1).

Remove bottom section of soundproofing

Slide collector siphon hose onto fitting (4) at radiator

 The fitting (4) is located at the bottom left of the radiator.

Open the radiator drain plug (3) and drain the coolant

 Collect coolant in coolant container (01a). Observe regulations for disposal of coolant.

Tighten radiator drain plug (3).

 To do this, remove the siphon hose from the fitting (4).

Filling

Pour in coolant and bleed cooling system

Checking

Close coolant expansion reservoir (2) with coolant cap (1)

Inspect cooling system for leaks
