 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Open hood

Carefully unscrew cooling system cap (1) on coolant expansion reservoir

 Turn cooling system cap (1) counterclockwise by half a revolution, relieve overpressure, and unscrew cooling system cap (1).

Raise vehicle

Drain coolant at radiator

Push drain hose onto drain valve in the area of the cooler drain screw (3)

Open radiator drain screw (3) and drain coolant

 Collect coolant in a suitable container. Re-use clean coolant.

Close cooler drain screw (3) and detach drain hose from the cooler drain valve

Drain coolant at cylinder crankcase

Push drain hose onto the cylinder crankcase drain valve (2)

Open cylinder crankcase drain valve (2) and drain coolant

 Collect coolant in a suitable container. Re-use clean coolant.

Detach drain hose and close cylinder crankcase drain valve (2)

 Coolant drain plug to cylinder crankcase
