Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by scalding from contact with hot coolant spray.
Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Open engine hood

Carefully unscrew cooling system cap (1) on the coolant expansion reservoir

 Turn the cooling system cap (1) counterclockwise one half-turn, release the pressure, and unscrew the cooling system cap (1)..

Raise vehicle

Drain coolant from radiator

Slide the drain hose on to the radiator drain valve

Open the radiator drain plug (3) and drain the coolant

 Catch coolant with suitable vessel. Reuse the clean coolant.

Close the radiator drain plug (3) and detach the drain hose at the radiator drain valve

Drain coolant at crankcase

Slide the drain hose on to the crankcase drain plug (2)

Open the crankcase drain plug (2) and drain the coolant

Catch coolant with suitable vessel. Reuse the clean coolant.

Detach the drain hose and close the crankcase drain plug (2)


