 Warning

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Drain off

Slowly open cap, release overpressure and remove from coolant expansion reservoir.

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove lower engine compartment lining

Slide drain hose (2) onto fitting at radiator.

 Cooler vacuum filling device

Turn drain screw (1) in direction of arrow (arrow A) up to end stop and then remove direction of arrow (arrow B).

 Collect coolant with a suitable container.

Attach tester cap and pressure pump to coolant expansion reservoir and pump out remaining coolant by actuating pressure pump.

Remove drain screw (1) and check O-ring for damage.

If damage is identified:



Replace drain screw (1).

Screw in drain screw (1).

Remove drain hose (2) from fitting at radiator.
