Loosen clamp (5) and remove coolant hose (6) wastegate

 Check clamp (5) for damage; replace if necessary.

Detach vacuum hose (2) at vacuum unit (1)

 Installation: Check vacuum hose (2) for damage; replace if necessary.

Remove screw/bolts (3) and swivel vacuum unit (1) with holder to one side


The pull rod of the vacuum unit (1) remains on the bypass flap (8).
The vacuum unit (1) must be replaced with the bracket otherwise.

Remove screw/bolts (4)

 Bolt, bypass flap to valve housing/bypass flap

Remove bypass flap (8) with vacuum unit (1)


Ensure that no forces have an effect on the pull rod of the vacuum unit (1).
The vacuum unit (1) must be replaced otherwise with the bracket.

Remove molded seal (7)

 Installation:
Insert the molded seal (7) in water before installation so that it can stick in the sealing groove.
Assembly grease or any other agent can have a negative effect otherwise on the properties of the molded seal (7).

 The molded seal (7) must be replaced.



Clean

Clean sealing surfaces of the bypass flap (8)


Do not use any sharp-edged tools or abrasive paper.
The sealing surfaces can get damaged otherwise.

Install in the reverse order
