Remove charge-air distributor

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Remove screw/bolt (3)

Remove coolant lines (4v, 4r) and seal openings with suitable stop plugs

 Installation: Replace O-rings.

 Record plug

Release and disconnect electrical connector (2) and unclip electric line

Release and disconnect electrical connector (12) and unclip electric line

Remove bracket (13)

 Screw, charge air distributor support to crankcase

Remove screw (7) and remove charge air line (6)

 Installation: Replace O-ring.

 Screw, charge air line to additional compressor

Open screw clamp (10) and remove screw (9) on timing case

 Installation: Install new boot (11).

 Screw clamp, boot between charge air lines

Remove charge air line (5)

 Installation: Replace O-ring.

Remove screws/bolts  (8)

 Screw/bolt, additional compressor to crankcase

Remove electrical additional compressor (M60/1)

Install in the reverse order

Read out fault memory and clear if necessary


