Remove

Lift vehicle on vehicle lift

Detach charge air hoses (1a, 1b) on charge air cooler (2)

Detach charge air hoses (1a, 1b) on charge air lines (3a, 3b)

Close off the connection fitting on charge air cooler (2) and charge air lines (3a, 3b) with protective covers

Install

Install new sealing rings for charge air hoses (1a, 1b)

Assembly cleaner

Remove protective cover from connection fitting on charge air cooler (2) and charge air lines (3a, 3b)

Clean connection fitting on charge air cooler (2) and charge air lines (3a, 3b)

 Carefully clean the connection fitting using clean, lint-free rags.

Mount charge air hoses (1a, 1b) on charge air lines (3a, 3b)

Do not apply any oil, grease or other lubricant.
The charge air hoses (1a, 1b) can slip on the connection fitting otherwise.

Mount charge air hoses (1a, 1b) on charge air cooler (2)

Do not apply any oil, grease or other lubricant.
The charge air hoses (1a, 1b) can slip on the connection fitting otherwise.

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform an engine test run and check charge air hoses (1a, 1b) on the connections for leaktightness
