Remove/install

Remove oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter.

Remove the inerting system line in the engine compartment and place to one side.

Remove charge air pipe downstream of exhaust gas turbocharger.

Remove engine air intake duct downstream of air filter.

Remove screws (2).

 Bolt, heat shield to cylinder head/holder/support

Remove the front heat shield (1) from the retaining clips (3).

Remove screw (6).

 Bolt, heat shield to cylinder head/holder/support

Remove the upper heat shield (4) from the retaining clips (3).

 Installation: Ensure seal (5) is correctly seated in retaining clips (3).

Install in the reverse order.
