2 | Detach rear section of lower engine compartment paneling | Installation: Install engine compartment paneling only after engine test run. | |
3 | Unclip the electrical connector of the related O2 sensor from the retaining clamp | ||
4 | Unclip the electrical line of the related O2 sensor downstream of catalytic converter from the retaining clamp | ||
5 | Unclip the electrical line of the related O2 sensor upstream of the catalytic converter from the retaining clamp at the transmission | On vehicles with retaining clamp (up to vehicle identification number 042765) | |
Installation: The electrical line of the related O2 sensor upstream of the catalytic converter should no longer be clipped into the retaining clamp, otherwise the electrical line will be damaged. | |||
6 | Detach the electrical connector of the respective O2 sensor | ||
7 | Remove the respective O2 sensor | Installation: Coat thread with heat-resistant lubricant. | |
