Remove cylinder head cover trim

Remove air filter housing

Disconnect electrical connector (1)

Expose electrical wiring harness for oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2)

 The fastening clip (2) which is removed during removal must be put back in exactly the same position again during installation.

Remove oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2)

 Installation: Coat thread of oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2) with heat-resistant lubricant.



Install in the reverse order

Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out fault memory and erase if required

 Stored faults which may be caused by assembly work, test work, removed lines or a simulation, must be processed and erased in fault memories after completing the work.
