1 | Remove cylinder head cover trim | ||
2 | Remove air filter housing | ||
3 | Disconnect electrical connector (1) | ||
4 | Expose electrical wiring harness for oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2) | The fastening clip (2) which is removed during removal must be put back in exactly the same position again during installation. | |
5 | Remove oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2) | Installation: Coat thread of oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2) with heat-resistant lubricant. | |

7 | Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS, read out fault memory and erase if required | Stored faults which may be caused by assembly work, test work, removed lines or a simulation, must be processed and erased in fault memories after completing the work. | |
