1 | Remove bottom engine compartment lining. | ||
2 | Remove right front section of fender liner. | ||
3 | Remove starter. | ||
4 | Install retaining lock on the starter ring gear and fasten with a suitable nut. | Retaining lock | |
If necessary: | |||

Turn engine in direction of rotation until the gears match. | |||
5 | Remove poly-V-belt from belt pulley (1). | ||
6 | Remove screw (2). | Installation: Replace screw (2). | |
Center bolt, belt pulley to crankshaft | |||
7 | Remove belt pulley (1). | Installation: Check belt pulley (1) for damage. | |
If damage is present: | |||

Replace belt pulley (1). | |||
8 | Install in the reverse order. |
