Remove/install

Remove transmission from engine.

Remove front end cover with radial shaft sealing ring.

Remove refrigerant compressor.

Remove bearing bracket (4).

Remove clamp (8), remove screws (6), and remove major assembly carrier (7).

 Installation: Replace seals.

Remove oil pan.

Remove screws (2, 3) from the crankcase lower section (1) in reverse order of the tightening procedure.

 Installation: Tighten screws (2, 3) according to the sequence of the tightening procedure.

Pry off crankcase lower section (1) and remove.

Notes on applying sealant to bottom part of crankcase

Do not damage crankcase lower section (1) and crankcase.
Leakage will otherwise occur.

 Installation: Apply sealant to the sealing surfaces of the crankcase lower section (1) and install new seal (5).

 Installation: The pilot bushing must engage in the cutout in the lower crankcase section (1).
