3 | Slacken poly V-blet | Installation: Hexagonal bolt (22) for attaching tensioning lever must be inserted into the cylinder head before installing the intake manifold | |
4 | Pull out guide rail pins in cylinder head | ||

Installation: Apply sealant to the slide rail pins | |||
5 | Remove camshaft | ||
6 | Remove injection nozzles | ||
7 | Disconnect exhaust pipe (15) on exhaust manifold (16) at the flange | ||
8 | Unscrew hexagonal bolt (18) on tensioning device shock absorber | ||
9 | Unscrew hexagonal bolt (19) on oil dipstick guide tube bracket | ||
10 | Remove fuel filter (4) on cylinder head | ||
11 | Detach coolant hose (8) on thermostat housing | ||
12 | Remove injection lines (12) | ||
13 | Pull off vacuum lines (10, 11). | ||
14 | Unplug connector for temperature sensor (7) | ||
15 | Remove wiring harness (6) | Unscrew hexagonal bolt (5) and lay wiring harness (6) to one side | |
16 | Detach coolant hose (9) | ||
17 | Unscrew cylinder head bolts (2, 3) | Pay attention to slackening diagram | |
18 | Installation: Oil cylinder head bolts (3) at thread and bolt head contact surface, insert and tighten as specified in tightening procedure. It is not necessary to retighten the cylinder head bolts (3). | ||

19 | Measure the cylinder head bolts (3) | ||

21 | Remove cylinder head (1) and take off cylinder head gasket (17) | Installation: Put new cylinder head gasket on crankcase. At the time of fitting, pay attention to clamping sleeves for fixing. | |
22 | Clean separating surfaces, check for cracks, clean the tapped holes | Blow out tapped holes free of oil and water | |
23 | Install in the reverse order |
