 Remove both coolant lines (1, 2), as they will be replaced during refitting and no longer used.
With regard to return shipment or scrapping of removed parts, please observe the information in your warranty systems.



Install

Replace oil pressure line (3) of steered leading or trailing axle.

Only on vehicles with additional steering axle

 The oil pressure line (3) must be replaced because the previous one would be too short due to the different dimensions of the new dual compressor (B).
With regard to return shipment or scrapping of removed parts, please observe the information in your warranty systems.

Install dual compressor (B).



 Use new coolant lines (5, 6).
Tilt back cab and only perform engine test run after installing the control line (4.1).

Connect diagnostic system, start XENTRY and switch on ignition.

Perform initial quick test.

 The initial quick test is stored until the end of the diagnosis session.

Change parameter in Electronic Air-Processing Unit (EAPU).

 To do so, select the following menu items in the "Adaptations" tab: Parameterization 
Adaptations 
003 Air compressor characteristic.

Select the code M6L + the corresponding engine code here. E.g. :
Z5D (with engine 470.9) or
Z5E (with engine 471.9)
Then press "Save".

Perform final quick test.

 No fault codes should be present.

If fault codes are still present,



then process the fault codes.

 After obtaining special order.

Carry out function check with engine test run.

Check compressed-air connections for leak tightness.

 Use commercially available leak detector spray.

End XENTRY and remove the diagnostic system.

Update Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc)

Update variant parts lists (SAA) and code.

 The modified variant parts lists (SAA) must be documented in VeDoc for correct replacement part documentation.

The code change is initiated by ordering the CD-ROM specified in the parts ordering note.
