Removing



All nozzle holder combinations (6) must be replaced, to do so perform operation steps 2 to 18 on each individual nozzle holder combination (6).

Risk of explosion caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel and risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel

No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking.
Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Remove charge air manifold

Remove cylinder head cover

Remove injection line

 The injection line must not be bent otherwise the nonmetallic coating in the injection line will detach and this can lead to engine damage.

Unscrew pressure screw (1) and remove pressure pipe connection (2)

Remove retaining clip (5)

Mount threaded insert using impact extractor onto thread (arrow) of nozzle holder combination (6)

Pull out nozzle holder assembly (6) using impact extractor

Remove threaded insert and extractor from nozzle holder assembly (6)

 With regard to return shipment or scrapping of removed parts, please observe the information in your warranty system.

Pull sealing sleeve (8) out of cylinder head

 Only for a stuck sealing sleeve (8) in the cylinder head.

Install

Measure shank length (L) of bolt (4)

 If max. shank length (L) is exceeded, replace bolt (4)

Lightly coat O-ring (7) with lubricant

Install new O-ring (3) on pressure pipe connection (2)

 Lightly coat O-ring (3) with lubricant and moisten pressure pipe connections (2) around sealing cone with engine oil.

Install nozzle holder assembly (6) and position retaining clip (5)

 Observe installation position of nozzle holder assembly (6) in relation to pressure pipe connection hole.

Insert pressure pipe connections (2) into cylinder head and press in until it engages in the fuel hole of the nozzle holder combination (6)

 If necessary, use retaining clip (5) to turn nozzle holder combination (6) in cylinder head

15

Tighten retaining clip (5) with bolt (4)



Tighten pressure pipe connection (2) with pressure screw (1)



Install injection line
