SI98.00-N-0008A | Service-Information: Conversion of type of damage in damage code | 2.12.03 |
MODEL 414.700, 638, 639, 667, 668, 670, 901, 902, 903, 904, 905, 930, 932, 933, 934, 944, 950, 952, 953, 954, 957, 970, 972, 974, 975, 976
The damage codes have been converted from numerical to alphanumerical in group 98 and the damage codes "Corrosion'" from group 98 moved to the affected sheet metal design groups. These changes were activated the middle of August 2003.
These changes also affect the paint location sketches which will be included in WIS in modified form as of January 2004.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To ensure that the paint location sketches can still be used for damage coding for "Paint and corrosion complaints", a corresponding damage code "Corrosion" will be listed in the specific sheet metal part corrosion group for each "Paint" damage code in the new paint location sketch as of 2004.
When handling warranty and goodwill claims in the future, please note that the damage code for "Paint" or "Corrosion" are to be used for the damage part and damage code depending on the complaint.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The new paint location sketch with the corresponding damage codes/types are listed in WIS version 01.2004.
The old numerical damage types and alphanumerical damage types for paint and corrosion complaints in group 98 in the warranty and goodwill claim systems will be recognized in plausibility checks up to the end of May 2004.
As of June 2004, only the new alphanumerical damage types for paint complaints will be recognized.
As of 2004, corrosion complaints should be coded only in the sheet metal corrosion groups with the damage types provided for this purpose, and no longer in group 98.
