Preceding work:

Coolant drained (20-010).

Fan shroud removed (20-310).

Removing, installing

Underride guard

unbolt, bolt on.

Front grille

unscrew, screw on.

Front end bracing

unbolt, bolt on.

Oil pipes at oil cooler

unbolt, bolt on (20 Nm).

Coolant hoses (10) and (12)

disconnect, connect.

Flat springs (15)

pull off upward, fit on.

Radiator (4)

remove upward, install.

Note

The securing studs of the radiator must be inserted into the rubber blocks (19) of the bottom cross member when installing.

Cooling system

fill (20-010).

Automatic transmission fluid level

check, corrrect (Maintenance Manual 2710).

Leaks

check (20-017).

Underride guard

unbolt, bolt on.

Front grille

unscrew, screw on.

Front end bracing

unbolt, bolt on.

Oil pipes (56) at oil cooler (8)

unbolt, bolt on (20 Nm).

Coolant hoses

disconnect, connect.

Oil cooler (8)

unbolt, bolt on.

Bottom radiator mount (29)

unbolt, bolt on.

Top radiator mount (44)

unbolt, bolt on.

Radiator

remove upward, install.

Cooling system

fill (20-010).

Leaks

check (20-017).

1 Take off underride guard.

3 Take off front end bracing with hood lock.

4 Disconnect pipe at oil cooler.

6 Take off oil cooler.

7 Remove bottom radiator mount.

8 Remove top radiator mount.

9 Lift out radiator.

10 Installation is performed in the reverse order.
