Removing
1 Remove air cleaner.

2 Lift off retaining ring (1); do not bend operating rod for fuel shutoff when performing this step.

3 Unscrew hexagon nut (2) and take components (3-8 and 35) off shaft (9).

4 Slacken nozzle needle set in thread by striking the top of the needle set with a punch.

Then, slacken the needle set in the thread with a thin punch and unscrew.

5 Screw new nozzle needle set (10) into carburetor cover and carefully tighten by striking with a thin punch, ensuring that the nozzle needle is not bent.

6 Install parts (2-8 and 35) in the order shown in the figure (step 3).

7 Install actuating lever (35) and check size of gap.

To do this, fit on plastic washer (4), swivel lever (35) onto plastic washer, fit on plastic washer (2) with flat face down. Install retaining ring (1); insert 0.3-0.4 mm feeler gauge (3) between plastic washer (2) and lever (35) for this step. Carefully press on retaining ring as far as it will go with a tube.

8 Check ease of movement of choke and of lever (7, figure, step 3).

9 Check size of gap of closing plate (45, figure step 7). To do this, measure on actuating rod with choke open, note size. Following this, open choke by hand as far as the stop and measure in this position as before. Compare sizes.

Specification:

Difference between both measurements should be approx. 1.6 mm.

10 Install air cleaner.

11 Check lambda control or idle emissions level, adjust (07.2-100).
