Gasoline injection and ignition system, general points
The fuel injection and ignition system with direct injection, together with the sensors and actuators, constitutes the engine management system.
The whole engine management is contained in the ME-SFI [ME] control unit. The engine management reads in signals directly and over the CAN bus and actuates the corresponding components. Here the individual functions and systems of the engine management are controlled and coordinated by the ME-SFI [ME] control unit.
