Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant. | Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage bottles. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection. | |

4 | Detach coolant feed line (2) on STH or HB heater unit (A6) and coolant circulation pump | Collect flowing out coolant in a suitable vessel. | |
5 | Detach coolant outlet line (1) on STH or HB heater unit (A6) and coolant circulation pump | Collect flowing out coolant in a suitable vessel. | |
Danger! | Risk of explosion caused by fuel vapors igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling combustible gases and risk of injury caused by burns during and after operation of heater unit | Do not operate stationary heater, auxiliary heater or engine with heater booster in closed areas or when refueling. Allow heater unit to cool down after operation and wear protective gloves. | |
6 | Disconnect fuel line (3) on STH or HB heater unit (A6) | Allow escaping fuel to drain into a suitable container. | |
7 | Detach electrical connectors (4, 5) of STH or HB heater unit (A6) | ||
8 | Detach exhaust line (6) on STH or HB heater unit (A6) | ||
9 | Detach fresh air line (7) on STH or HB heater unit (A6) | ||
10 | Remove STH or HB heater unit (A6) | To do so undo nuts (8) and remove STH or HB heater unit (A6) upwards. | |
11 | Remove coolant circulation pump | ||
12 | Install in the reverse order | ||
13 | Pour in coolant | ||
| Replace coolant | ||
14 | Bleed coolant circuit after completing installation of STH or HB heater unit (A6) | ||
15 | Inspect cooling system for leaks | ||
| Cooling and heating system - checking condition of radiator, lines and hoses | ||
16 | Start up stationary heater | If the STH or HB heater unit (A6) automatically switches itself off before reaching its operating temperature and cannot be restarted, there is a fault interlock: | |
