Remove

 Danger

Risk of fire/risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC.

No fires, sparks, open flames, or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing, and glasses. Pour battery acid only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Injury hazard from pinching and crushing, in extreme cases extremities can even be cut off when caught in windshield wiper mechanism.

When working on the windshield wiper mechanism, always switch off the ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (at least 2 m).

Remove wiper system

Unscrew nut (1) of wiper motor axle

Detach engine crank (2) with wiper linkage

Remove screws (3) from wiper motor (M6/1)

Remove wiper motor (M6/1)



Install

Move wiper motor (M6/1) to park position

Insert wiper motor (M6/1)

Secure wiper motor (M6/1) with screws (3)

 Screw/bolt on wiper motor mount

Align engine crank (2) according to dimension "B"

Distance between end stop and engine crank

Secure engine crank (2) with nut (1) to wiper motor axle

 Nut on wiper motor shaft

Install wiper system
