Align vehicle between the columns of the and position the four support plates below the lifting platform support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle.

Disconnect left and the right flange connection (12a, 12b) of the center muffler (10) at the three way catalytic converters (158/1, 158/2)

Installation: First tighten left flange connection (12a).

Unhook left rear muffler (9a) and right rear muffler (9b) from exhaust rubber mount (9/1, 9/2)

Use lubricant

Installation: Check exhaust rubber mounts (9/1, 9/2), replace if worn.

Lift out exhaust system

Tilt exhaust system by approximately 45° about the longitudinal axis.

Checking

Check exhaust rubber mount (9/1, 9/2) and sealing ring (21a, 21b) for wear and damage

Install in the reverse order

Inspect installation position and clearance of exhaust system

The exhaust system must be installed free of stress, if necessary:

Align exhaust system.

Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the running engine

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.
