If it is difficult to reach the fuel pump, remove the fuel pump from below:

Unscrew banjo bolt (6) and detach fuel suction line (5) from crankcase

Installation: Replace sealing rings.

Detach fixtures along the fuel line (arrow)

Detach fuel suction lines (1, 5) from fuel pump (2)

Installation: Replace sealing rings (3).

Detach fuel pressure line (4) from fuel pump (2)

Installation: Install new sealing rings (7). Installation position must be noted: Line must not chafe.

Take off fuel pump (2).

Installation: Replace gasket (8). The groove of the gasket must point toward the fuel pump.

Danger!

Risk of accident as vehicle may start off by itself with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during start-up or while running may result in contusions and burns

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.

Start engine and check fuel system for leaks

If the engine does not start within 30 s,

wait 1 min. and repeat the attempt at starting.
