Remove interior flap above engine

No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and safety glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Disconnect battery

Remove fuel heat exchanger

The fuel lines must not be detached.

Separate the electrical connector of the vehicle wiring harness (2) at the MR/PLD control unit (A6)

Release the electrical connector of the vehicle wiring harness (2) by pressing the lock.

Installation: Secure the electrical connector of the vehicle wiring harness (2) with the lock.

Separate the Electrical connector for the engine wiring harness (1) at the MR/PLD control unit (A6)

Release the Electrical connector for the engine wiring harness (1) by swiveling the lock.

Installation: Secure the Electrical connector for the engine wiring harness (1) by swiveling the lock.

Unscrew bolts (3) and take off MR/PLD control unit (A6) together with rubber absorber (4) and ground clamp (5)

Installation: If the MR/PLD control unit (A6) has been replaced, then if required, enter a new data record in the MR/PLD control unit (A6) with the diagnostic tool.
