	Removing
1	Drive the vehicle onto the wheel alignment equipment
		Wheel alignment equipment
2	Remove underbody cladding		AR61.45-T-1000-01B
3	Open flap in front end and secure	 Pull lever at left under dashboard.
4	Remove quick fasteners in center part of bumper
5	Fold down center part of bumper
6	Pull spare tire carrier to the front	Refer to Owner's Manual
7	Pull drag link (3) from steering gear pitman arm (12)		AR46.40-T-1000-01B

8	Turn steering wheel (11) to center position	 Turn steering wheel clockwise or anti-clockwise up to the stop. Turn back exactly three revolutions from the stop. In this position, the middle spoke of the steering wheel should be horizontal. If this is not the case:	*BE46.00-N-1001-01C
		Adjust the steering wheel	AR46.10-T-0101B
	Checking
9	Check basic adjustment of drag link	 If the basic adjustment of the drag link is incorrect:	AR46.40-T-0150-01B
		Check and adjust basic adjustment of drag link	AR46.40-T-0150B
	Install
10	Mount drag link (3) on steering gear pitman arm (12)		AR46.40-T-1000-01B

11	Adjust toe-in	 With the setting template fitted and using the wheel alignment equipment, the toe-in is adjusted as follows. First slacken the clamping collars on both track rods. The specified value for the total track is then adjusted by turning the particular track rod:
		Slackening and tightening the track rod clamps	AR46.40-T-0150-03B
		 Because of the split track rods, it must be noted that the specified toe-in value is the total value and thus the tolerance at each wheel is only half the value.	*BE40.20-N-1001-07B

13	Screw in quick fasteners in center part of bumper
14	Fold up center part of bumper
15	Close front flap
16	Install underbody cladding		AR61.45-T-1000-01B
