Move the front wheels into the straightahead drive mode

 Secure the vehicle to prevent it from rolling away.

Remove steering wheel

 Installation: If the steering wheel was offset, the turn signal switch resetting function should be assured.

Check position of lower universal joint relative to the lower steering shaft (11) and adjust if necessary

Check the position of the upper universal joint relative to the steering shaft (11) and adjust if necessary

 If the position of the upper universal joint relative to the lower steering shaft (11) has to be corrected: 

Model 613.355/358/388/455/485 with steering 765.860:

Detach/install upper steering shaft at upper universal joint

Install in the reverse order

Check steering wheel position

 When the steering wheel position is horizontal the front wheels must be in the straightahead drive mode.
