Measuring, adjusting

Drive vehicle onto test site and secure by applying parking brake

 The measuring system must be approved by Mercedes-Benz.

Carry out conditions and tests for chassis alignment

Using the adapter, install the brake pedal retaining tool between the pedal and the driver seat

 Protect the brake pedal and driver seat otherwise the brake pedal or driver seat may be damaged.



Place the transmission in neutral

Move selector lever to position "P"

Open window on driver door and close driver door

 Preparations for checking steering lock. The vehicle must not be loaded again.

Switch off ignition

Attaching Mercedes-Benz quick-clamping devices

Mount wheel mirror or measurement pickup to quick-clamping device and check for unobstructed movement through wheel angle

 In order to avoid damage to the wheel mirror or the sensor, the wheel mirror or sensor must not come into contact with the body of the vehicle during wheel angle nor touch the lifting platform.

Align the wheel mirror or sensor according to the respective manufacturer's instructions

Unlock turnplates and sliding platforms

Check vehicle level at front and rear axle with electronic inclinometer, adjust if necessary

 Depending on the measurement result the vehicle level must be adjusted at the front and rear axle.
