	Disassemble
1	Remove pinion housing (7) with drive pinion (12)		AR35.30-T-0469B
2	Pull propeller shaft flange (2) off drive pinion (12)		AR35.30-T-0459-03B

3	Remove oil retainer (3) and radial sealing ring (4)
4	Remove drive pinion (7) from pinion housing (12)	 To do so, place the pinion housing on two wooden blocks and drive out the drive pinion using a plastic mallet.
5	Remove spacer (8) from drive pinion (12)
6	Pull inner tapered roller bearing (11) off drive pinion (12)		AR35.30-T-0459-04B

7	Remove outer tapered roller bearing (5) from pinion housing (7)
8	Remove outer races (6, 11) of both tapered roller bearings (5, 10) from pinion housing (7) using suitable drift
9	Remove inner race of cylindrical roller bearing (13)		AR35.30-T-0459-01B

10	Remove drive pinion head bearing.		AR35.30-T-0459-02B
11	Clean all parts, check for damage and wear, and replace if necessary
	Assemble
12	Install inner race of cylindrical roller bearing (13)		AR35.30-T-0459-01B

13	Drive outer races (6, 11) of both tapered roller bearings (5, 10) into pinion housing (7) using suitable drift

14	Push inner tapered roller bearing (11) onto drive pinion (12) as far as it will go	 Heat the tapered roller bearing to approx. 80 °C beforehand. Use a suitable sleeve to push on the roller bearing.
15	Push old shim (8) onto inner tapered roller bearing (11).
16	Position pinion housing (7) on drive pinion (12) and secure to assembly stand	 The head (with the teeth) of the drive pinion then points downwards.

17	Push outer tapered roller bearing (5) against shim (8) onto drive pinion (12) as far as it will go	 Heat the tapered roller bearing to approx. 80 °C beforehand. Use a suitable sleeve to push on the roller bearing.

19	Check friction torque of tapered roller bearing of drive pinion		AR35.30-T-0470-04B

20	Adjust friction torque of tapered roller bearing of drive pinion	The friction coefficient is adjusted by determining the required thickness of the shim between both tapered roller bearings. If the friction coefficient is too high, a thicker shim must be used (and vice versa).

		 To determine the thickness of the new shim, the propeller shaft flange must be loosened again and then tightened to a torque of approx. 20 Nm.
21	Fit radial sealing ring (4) and oil retainer (3) in pinion housing (7)
