3 | Coat sealing surfaces of pinion housing (1), of rear axle housing (2) and of shims (3) with sealant. | Omnifit FD 3041 sealant | |
4 | Install pinion housing (1) | - Fit shims on rear axle housing so that the oil duct remains free. - Use guide pins when fitting pinion housing. - Observe markings of ring gear and drive gear (so that the same pairs of teeth are engaged with each other again). - Only replace ring gear and drive gear together, not individually. | |
