Remove ring gear with differential

Detach pinion housing (1)

Install

Coat sealing surfaces of pinion housing (1), of rear axle housing (2) and of shims (3) with sealant.

Install pinion housing (1)

- Fit shims on rear axle housing so that the oil duct remains free.

- Use guide pins when fitting pinion housing.

- Observe markings of ring gear and drive gear (so that the same pairs of teeth are engaged with each other again).

- Only replace ring gear and drive gear together, not individually.
