The clearance of the teeth flanges of the differential gearwheel in the input gearwheel depends on the thickness of the compensating washer installed between the gearwheel and the drive axle. As a starting point, a compensating washer with a thickness of 3.65 mm should be initially installed.

The distance "B" is composed of the end of the drive axle and the universal joint.

Calculate the measurement ("A") to determine the corresponding thickness of the compensating washer (1), as follows:
Measurement ("A") = distance ("B") - distance ("C")

Select the compensating washer (1) according to the measurement ("A") obtained:


Measure ("A") from 0.20 to 0.35 mm - the compensating washer (1) with thickness ("E") of 3.65 mm installed initially is correct

Measure ("A") from 0.36 to 0.50 mm - the compensating washer (1) must be replaced by one with a thickness ("E") of 3,85 mm

Measure ("A") from 0.51 to 0.70 mm - the compensating washer (1) must be replaced by one with a thickness ("E") of 4,00 mm

Measure ("A") from 0.71 to 0.90 mm - the compensating washer (1) must be replaced by one with a thickness ("E") of 4,20 mm
