Measure

3

Install dial indicator holder (1) and dial indicator (2) on the rear wheel hub (3)

 Crank the rear wheel hub (3) several times beforehand. Align tracer pin of dial indicator (2) with a pre-load at the end face of axle tube and set scale of the dial indicator (2) to zero



Measure the wheel bearing play by moving the rear wheel hub (3) to and fro

 Read off the value on the dial indicator (2).

Detach dial indicator (2) and dial indicator holder (1)



Measure wheel bearing play of rear wheel hub (3) again

 Only carry out if the wheel bearing play had to be adjusted.

 Carry out procedures 3 to 5 again and if necessary also carry out procedures 6 and 7 until the specified value is reached.

Secure the outer slotted nut by bending over the locking plate


