	Disassemble
1	Disassemble front axle		AR33.10-G-0060B
2	Mount retainer wrench to propeller shaft flange (2) and clamp into a vise	 Retainer wrench	*717589003100
3	Release and unscrew collar nut (1)
4	Press drive pinion (3) from pinion flange (6)
5	Remove old spring pin (7) and propeller shaft flange (2)
6	Pull large tapered roller bearing (4) off drive pinion (3)	 Puller	*000589453300
7.1	Remove small tapered roller bearing (9) together with radial shaft sealing rings and outer race from pinion flange (6)	FRONT AXLE 737.580/581/583/590/592
7.2	Remove small tapered roller bearing (9) together with radial shaft sealing ring and outer race from pinion flange (6)	FRONT AXLE 737.570/571/572 FRONT AXLE 737.910 in MODEL 000.001
8	Remove outer race (5) from pinion flange (6)
	Clean
9	Clean all parts
	Check
10	Check all parts for wear and damage	If there are problems:
		
		Replace worn or damaged parts.
		 The drive pinion (3) may only be replaced with the ring gear of the differential. Ensure manufacturing numbers are the same. Otherwise the differential may be damaged.
	Assemble
11	Press new large tapered roller bearing (4) onto drive pinion (3)	 The new large tapered roller bearing (4) is wetted with a special oil for stopping corrosion. This special lubricating oil must not be wiped off nor brought into contact with other lubricants. Otherwise the friction torque adjustment may be faulty.
12	Knock outer race (5) of new large tapered roller bearing (4) into pinion flange (6) with a copper drift	 The outer race (5) of the new large tapered roller bearing (4) is coated with a special anti-corrosion oil. This special lubricating oil must not be wiped off nor brought into contact with other lubricants. Otherwise the friction torque adjustment may be faulty.
13	Knock outer race of new small tapered roller bearing (9) into pinion flange (6) with a copper drift	 The outer race of the new small tapered roller bearing (9) is coated with a special anti-corrosion oil. This special lubricating oil must not be wiped off nor brought into contact with other lubricants. Otherwise the friction torque adjustment may be faulty.
14	Install drive pinion (3) in pinion flange (6)
15	Fit new roll pin (8) on drive pinion (3)	 Since the old tension sleeve (7) has already been deformed when it was first assembled, a new tension sleeve (8) must be used.
16	Install new small tapered roller bearing (9) in pinion flange (6)	 The new small tapered roller bearing (9) is wetted with a special oil for stopping corrosion. This special lubricating oil must not be wiped off nor brought into contact with other lubricants. Otherwise the friction torque adjustment may be faulty.

17	Coat front face of new small tapered roller bearing (9) (hatched area) with long-life grease	 The long-life grease may not touch the roller surface area. An accurate bearing adjustment can only be made under these conditions. The service life of the axle drive is decisively influenced by this.

18.2	Coat two new radial shaft sealing rings with long-life grease and install in pinion flange (6)	FRONT AXLE 737.580/581/583/590/592
		 The radial shaft sealing ring with the dust lip must be installed on the outside. The area between the two radial shaft sealing rings must be packed with long-life grease.

19	Fit propeller shaft flange (2) on drive pinion (3)
20	Mount retainer wrench to propeller shaft flange (2) and clamp into a vise	 Retainer wrench	*717589003100
21	Screw on new collar nut (1) by hand
22	Adjust friction torque of drive pinion (3)		AR33.30-G-0458-06B
