Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove/install

Remove front bumper

Remove upper radiator crossmember

Remove right engine air intake duct upstream of left air filter

Remove screw/bolts (2, 3, 4)

Remove screws/bolts (5, 6, 7, 10)

Unscrew nuts (8, 9)

Slightly pull bumper carrier (12) forwards (arrows A)

 Only pull far enough forward to enable the intake-air ducting (13) to be removed.

Remove intake-air ducting (13) upward

Detach oil cooling lines (15) from oil cooler (1) and place to one side

Seal off connections using  stop plugs.
Damage can otherwise occur to the automatic transmission due to soiling.

Remove screws/bolts (14) from oil cooler (1)

Remove oil cooler (1) at side toward front

 Installation: Check that the oil cooler (1) is correctly seated.

Install in the reverse order



Check

Check transmission oil level and correct if necessary

Follow the prescribed work procedure exactly and observe the Specifications for Operating Fluids.
This will prevent the transmission from being damaged.
