 Warning

Risk of burn injuries and scalding when working at AdBlue lines and the components attached to them. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when handling AdBlue. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing AdBlue

Pour AdBlue into suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Loosen the coolant outlet fitting (5) and coolant inlet fitting (6) from the coolant pipes on the AdBlue pump module (8)

 Collect the coolant in a clean container.

 Only on models fitted wit AdBlue heating system.

 Mark the cooling system pipes in relation to connections, such as outlet and inlet.

Detach the electrical connector (7) from the AdBlue pump module (8)

 The electric connection (7) must not get in contact with AdBlue, as this can damage the electric wiring harness and the SCR module.

Check the electric wiring harness (9)

Remove the compressed air connection (4) from the AdBlue pump module (8)

 Socket connection system of - "SCHÄFER SDF" compressed air in metallic material

Open the insulation hose in the area of the AdBlue suction fitting (1), AdBlue supply fitting (2) and AdBlue return fitting (3) from the AdBlue pipes by approximately 20 cm

Detach the piping on the AdBlue suction connection (1)

Detach the pipes on the AdBlue supply connection (2) and AdBlue return connection (3)

 Identify the AdBlue system pipes in relation to connections.

 Installation: Replace sealing rings. Observe the identification on the pipes.

Remove the AdBlue pump module (8)

Install in reverse order

Charge the AdBlue pump module pressure accumulator (8)



Fill AdBlue pressure reservoir

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start the engine

Check the tightness of the cooling system

Inspect cooling system for leaks
