Remove/install

Open lower maintenance flap at the right rear on the vehicle

Raise vehicle

Remove engine compartment paneling below radiator unit

Remove lower charge air cooler (10) from charge air cooler (1)

Only perform the steps until the lower charge air pipe (10) can be pried off the connection fitting on the charge air cooler (1).

Remove upper charge air cooler (11) from charge air cooler (1)

Only perform the steps until the upper charge air pipe (11) can be pried off the connection fitting on the charge air cooler (1).

Shim the charge air cooler (1) and secure against falling down with a suitable major assembly lifting device

Remove screw/bolt (arrows) and charge air cooler (1) from radiator (4)

Install in the reverse order
