Remove/install

1

Remove engine charge air duct (1) upstream of charge air cooler and place to one side.

Remove hose (3) and place to one side

Disconnect electrical connection for oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G32x1)

Remove heat shield (2)

 Bolt/nut, heat shield for turbocharger to bracket

Remove screw/bolt (4)

 Bolt, charge air pipe to cylinder head

Move charge air pipe (5) in direction of the arrow and remove upwards

 Installation: Check sealing rings and replace if necessary.

Install in the reverse order



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
