Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 °C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

Remove upper engine cover



Check

Check coolant level and antifreeze content coolant in low-temperature circuit

 Coolant mixing ratio

In a case of the antifreeze content of the coolant being too low:



Add antifreeze or replace the coolant.

Unscrew tester cap (3) at low-temperature circuit coolant expansion reservoir (2)

Connect pressure pump (4) at tester cap (3)

Apply compressed air to low-temperature circuit for 2 minutes at the test pressure


Do not exceed the specified test pressure.
Damage can occur on the engine cooling system otherwise.

 There should be no loss of pressure within a period of 2 minutes.

In the event of pressure loss:



Perform a visual inspection on the components carrying coolant.

Actuate pressure relief button on pressure pump (4) and relieve the pressure
