Remove oil filler neck (2)

Take off supporting strut (5)

Expose supporting strut (5) with electric cable

Remove dipstick guide tube (6)

Detach vacuum line (7) at intake manifold

Detach vacuum line (8) at intake manifold

Installation: pay attention to different lengths of lines and routing of lines

Separate fuel lines (4)

Separate quick-locks. Collect fuel which flows out.

Take off throttle control

Bearing bracket of relay lever (arrow) can remain on intake manifold; remove if necessary for replacing intake manifold bearing bracket relay (arrow).

Unscrew bolt (11) and nut (12)

Lift intake manifold (9) with intake collector gasket (10) of cylinder head and separate plug connections (Y16.1-Y19.1) at the injectors (Y16-Y19)

Engine 111.948/978

Installation: replace gasket (10).

Pay attention to assignment of plug connections (Y16.1-Y19.1) to injectors (Y16-Y19).
