Keep all ignition sources out of hazard area.
Do not carry out any work on system when it is pressurized.

Remove

Remove charge-air distributor.

Mark injection lines (1) relative to corresponding cylinder.

Only when removing several injection lines (1).

Remove injection line (1).


Do not bend injection line (1).
Coating in injection line (1) will otherwise detach and engine damage will occur.

 Counterhold connection fitting pressure screw (2).
Plug openings.

 Ring wrench

Install

Tighten connection fitting pressure screw (2) at cylinder head.

 Thrust bolt, connection fitting to cylinder head

Install injection line (1).


Do not bend injection line (1).
Coating in injection line (1) will otherwise detach and engine damage will occur.

 Note marking.

 Union nut, injection line on connection fitting or single injection pump

Install charge-air distributor.

Start engine and bleed fuel system.

 Allow engine to run for approx. 1 min. The fuel system is ventilated automatically.

If engine fails to start or only runs for a brief period,



Check threaded connections at injection line (1) for leaks via a visual check.

Switch off engine.
