Remove/install

 Danger !

Risk of explosion from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury through burns to skin and eyes from battery acid or when handling damaged lead-acid batteries

No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Disconnect ground line from battery



Remove trim grille (1)

 Torx bit set

Remove air intake pipe (2)

Remove housing cover (6) from housing (5)

 Installation: The housing cover (6) must lie tightly against the housing (5).

Disconnect electrical line (3) and the cab chassis connectors (X2.1, X2.2 and X2.3) from housing (5)

Unclip engine wiring harness (4) and lay to one side in such a way that it cannot be pinched when the cab tilts

 Danger !

Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted

Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.

Remove engine wiring harness (4) on right longitudinal frame member and bind to engine

Install in the reverse order

Set time and synchronize tachograph
