Perform operation steps 1 to 8 to remove the engine.
1 | Remove engine cover (22) |
2 | Disconnect electrical connection (23, 25). |
3 | Remove cap (24) |
4 | Detach electrical lines (26, ) from prefuse box. |
5 | Detach electrical connections (23, 25) together with electrical lines (26) at cable boot at the bulkhead and lay on the engine. |
6 | Detach vehicle wiring harness (20) at CDI control unit and detach from engine wiring harness guide. |
7 | Disconnect electrical connection for vehicle wiring harness (21). |
8 | Expose electrical connection for vehicle wiring harness (21) together with vehicle wiring harness (20) up to the bulkhead and lay on the left engine cover. |

Perform operation steps 9 to 24 for removal of cylinder head covers or cylinder heads.
9 | Disconnect electrical connection (3) at pressure sensor downstream of air filter (B28/5). |
10 | Disconnect electrical connections (4, 5) at right hot film MAF sensor (B2/7) or left hot film MAF sensor (B2/6). |
11 | Disconnect electrical connection (11) at charge pressure adjuster (Y77/1). |
12 | Disconnect electrical connection to vent line heater element (R39/1). |
13 | Disconnect electrical connection (6) at intake port shutoff actuator motor (M55) and expose electrical wiring harness. |
14 | Disconnect electrical connections (13) at DPF differential pressure sensor (B28/8), temperature sensor upstream of turbocharger (B19/11) and oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter (G3/2). |
15 | Disconnect electrical connection (7) at the fuel pressure sensor (B4/7) |
16 | Disconnect electrical connection (9, 10) at combustion chamber pressure sensors. |
17 | Disconnect electrical connections at fuel injectors (Y76). |
18 | Disconnect electrical connection at camshaft Hall sensor (B6/1) |
19 | Disconnect electrical connection at fuel filter condensation sensor with heating element (B76/1) |
20 | Disconnect electrical connections at the glow plugs |
21 | Detach ground connection at rail and fuel filter. |
22 | Disconnect electrical connection (1) at exhaust pressure sensor (B60). |
23 | Disconnect electrical connection (2) at exhaust gas recirculation actuator (Y27/9). |
24 | Place engine wiring harness together with engine wiring harness guide to the front to one side. |
